29 May Update for the Week May 23-May 29

Good Morning everyone,

Once again, I am happy to report that Sunset Lodge remains COVID free. We are now in phase#2 and The Public Health Officer and Island Health are slowly loosening some of our restrictions and some businesses, restaurants and parks are starting to open up again as well. As I understand it, the next few weeks will be critical in determining when and how we enter phase# 3.  It’s good to know that we are moving in the right direction and it’s starting to feel a little more normal out there.

We have still not heard a date as to when visiting can resume at Sunset Lodge, or what that will look like when it does start, however, I will let you all know as soon as we are given the go ahead to have families in the facility and how that will be facilitated.

The residents of Sunset Lodge are still doing very well and we are keeping everyone as occupied, socially connected and happy as we can!  Thomas and his crew continue to facilitate skype and phone calls between our families and residents which has been so beneficial in keeping you connected with the people you love.

Please remember that the wellbeing of your loved ones is our top priority and we will continue to do all we can to make sure all the residents of Sunset Lodge stay healthy and happy. Please continue to take good care of yourselves as well.
